Patron Tequila Bottle Cake

So a close family friend of my fav cake order-er got me to make a Tequila Bottle Cake for her nephew's 18th birthday. It was a heated debate between vodka and tequila, but we decided on the prettier Patron bottle instead. : )

The shape of a Patron bottle is pretty "sculptor" friendly. It did, however take us about 5 layers of cake to achieve its height and lots of trimming down to finally attain the correct shape.

Next was to create the neck and the cork. Both were made using rice krispies. i'm pretty stoked at how my cork turned out. : )

And just for the heck of it, i made a wedge of lime on the side. Easy and fun to do!

Cake was choclate with oreos filling.
