Last week i delivered a cake to a Chinese restaurant at The Ritz for the 90th birthday celebration of an orchid loving Peranakan lady.
Her lovely granddaughter requested for this color combination (which i love) and to incorporate the fabrics of a kebaya and orchids into the cake.
I have always felt that taller cakes make for a grander outlook and i decided to add in one tier of styrofoam rounds to give it an extra boost.
Cake was carrot with vanilla filling for top 2 tiers and red velvet with vanilla filling for bottom tier.
