Sweet W wanted to give her gf a sweet surprise by presenting her with a really special birthday cake. Said birthday girl loved the Pixar movie "Up" so we did a sculpted cake in the form of the house!
What really was the cherry on top of the cream was the bunch of helium balloons which W got us to buy and attach to the cake. My kids were squealing in excitement when they saw the completed cake.
ps: pardon the busy-ness in the back ground, for our normal white back drop was not large enough to fit the balloons and cake.
Every shingle, every board was hand cut and manually stuck onto the cake, and it took us a full 48 hours to finally finish decorating. but we loved it. and better yet, both the birthday girl and W loved it. So did all their party guests. : )
